Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses’ Day

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses’ Day, established in 2010 by the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON), is celebrated every year on September 8. On this day, we celebrate pediatric hematology/oncology nurses for their lifelong dedication to caring for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders, as well as the families who depend on their expertise and compassion.
September is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, making it a fitting time to shine a spotlight on the nurses who provide daily care, comfort, and guidance to patients and families navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges.
