Course Overview: This course provides evidence-based recommendations for the nursing monitoring and management of Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS). Participants will learn to identify key signs and symptoms of CRS, including fever and changes in blood pressure and heart rate. The course will cover strategies to prevent or reduce the severity of CRS and nursing management practices. Recommended interventions, such as the use of Tocilizumab and corticosteroids, will be discussed, with a focus on escalation of care when necessary. Additionally, the course will explore the prevalence of severe CRS in patients receiving CAR T therapy and the timing for symptom development following treatment.

Learning Outcomes:

• State the signs and symptoms of CRS. 
• Identify actions to prevent or decrease the severity of CRS. 
• Name nursing management strategies in the care of patient experiencing CRS.
