Participants will learn how nurses in Peru have successfully created and implemented educational resources tailored to the needs of parents and caregivers. The course will cover topics such as childhood cancer side effects, nutrition, and preferred methods of delivering educational content, including videos. By the end of the course, attendees will be able to recognize the importance of culturally sensitive materials, discuss the development process, and apply these strategies in their practice.  Learning Outcomes:  
  • Recognize how families from outside if the US need culturally relevant educational materials to help care for their children with cancer  
  • Discuss how nurses in Peru developed educational materials for their parents/caregivers of children with cancer
