Course Overview: The APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider and Instructor Program has been expanded to Spanish-speaking countries, focusing on the unique needs of nurses in Latin America and the Caribbean. This course aims to enhance the chemotherapy and biotherapy knowledge of nurses caring for children with cancer by providing culturally adapted content and practical training. The program includes a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential topics in pediatric oncology nursing, with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity and local healthcare practices. Through interactive learning activities, case studies, and evaluations, the course equips nurses with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve patient care and outcomes in their respective regions.Â
Learning Outcomes:Â Â
- To summarize the chemotherapy/biotherapy learning needs of nurses caring for children with cancer across Latin America and the Caribbean based on a pre-pilot series needs assessment survey. Â
- To explain the process of culturally adapting and piloting the APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider and Instructor programs in Latin America and the Caribbean.  Â
- To assess the Spanish APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider program pilot-series evaluation outcomes. Â
