Overview of Session:
Join Heather Bauman for a focused session on how the treatment of bleeding disorders has changed over the past 10 years, including several significant advancements in care. The session explores current treatments for Hemophilia and Von Willebrand disease, as well as the challenges associated with each therapy. A discussion will also highlight therapies currently in the study phase that may be introduced over the next 5 years.
This session will explore:
• How treatment for bleeding disorders has evolved over the past 10 years, including key practice changes
• Current treatment options for Hemophilia, with an overview of benefits and limitations
• Current treatment options for Von Willebrand disease, including condition-specific challenges
• Clinical and practical challenges associated with existing therapies across bleeding disorders
• Emerging therapies in the study phase that may shape care over the next 5 years
NOTE:
The webinar recording link and evaluation are located in “My Courses – ACE Center” after registration is complete. Upon successful completion of this course, nurses will earn 1 NCPD. There is no pharmacology hours associated with this activity.
